Description
A delightful dish featuring golden-brown roasted cauliflower coated in a sticky honey garlic glaze, bursting with flavor and perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 large head cauliflower, cut into bite-sized florets
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
- Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)
- Sesame seeds, for garnish
- Green onions, chopped, for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Toss the cauliflower florets with olive oil on the baking sheet and spread them out in a single layer.
- Roast the cauliflower for 20 to 25 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- While the cauliflower is roasting, combine the honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and red pepper flakes in a small saucepan. Heat over medium, stirring constantly until it simmers and thickens slightly (about 3 to 5 minutes).
- Once the cauliflower is roasted, transfer it to a large mixing bowl. Pour the warm honey garlic sauce over the florets and toss gently to coat.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving.
Notes
You can prepare the cauliflower and sauce ahead of time, storing them separately in the fridge. For a vegan option, substitute honey with agave syrup.
