Description

Crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside, these Baked Broccoli Cheese Balls make a delightful snack or appetizer with a healthy twist.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups broccoli florets (finely chopped)
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Steam the broccoli for 3-5 minutes until tender-crisp, then cool slightly and chop finely.
  3. Mix the broccoli, breadcrumbs, cheddar cheese, Parmesan cheese, eggs, and flour in a large bowl. Add garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper, stirring until combined.
  4. Shape small portions into 1-inch balls.
  5. Prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or greased.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown, optionally broiling for an extra 1-2 minutes for added crunch.
  7. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

For a make-ahead option, prepare the mixture a day before and refrigerate. Air fryer option available for a quicker cook time.
