Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 peak of salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. Combine the mashed bananas, milk, melted butter, sugar, and egg in a large bowl, stirring until creamy.
  3. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt in another bowl, then fold into the banana mixture until a soft dough forms.
  4. Roll out the dough on a floured surface into a rectangle.
  5. Spread softened butter over the dough, then sprinkle with brown sugar and ground cinnamon.
  6. Roll the dough tightly into a log and cut into 1-inch slices.
  7. Place the slices in the prepared baking dish, leaving space between each roll.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Beat the cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth, adding vanilla extract.
  10. Spread the frosting over warm rolls and serve immediately.

Notes

Make ahead by preparing the dough and refrigerating for up to 2 days. You can also use an air fryer for quicker baking.
