Description

A delightful twist on traditional pizza featuring smoky barbecue flavors, tender chicken, and gooey mozzarella, perfect for family dinners and gatherings.


Ingredients

  • Pizza Dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 cups Cooked Chicken Breast (shredded or chopped)
  • 1 cup BBQ Sauce
  • 2 cups Mozzarella Cheese (shredded)
  • 1 Red Onion (thinly sliced)
  • Fresh Cilantro (for garnish)
  • Olive Oil (for brushing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).
  2. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to about ¼-inch thick.
  3. Transfer the dough to a greased pizza pan or baking sheet and apply a light coating of olive oil around the edges.
  4. Toss the cooked chicken pieces with 2 tablespoons of BBQ sauce until evenly coated.
  5. Spread the remaining BBQ sauce over the pizza dough, leaving a 1-inch border for the crust.
  6. Sprinkle half of the mozzarella cheese over the BBQ sauce.
  7. Distribute the sauced chicken pieces and sliced red onions evenly over the cheese layer.
  8. Top with the remaining mozzarella cheese.
  9. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
  10. Garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.

Notes

Make-ahead tip: Prepare the chicken and dough a day ahead and store them in the fridge. Refrigerate the assembled pizza until ready to bake.
