- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup caramel sauce
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream the butter and both sugars until smooth.
- Add the eggs one at a time and stir in the vanilla.
- Combine dry ingredients in a separate bowl and mix into the creamed mixture.
- Shape dough into balls and place on ungreased cookie sheets.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
- Add caramel sauce and chocolate chips when cookies are warm.
- Cool on the sheet before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
For a twist, substitute chocolate chips with peanut butter chips or add chopped nuts.
