Description

Cherry–Lime Chili Spark Jam is a vibrant and zesty jam that combines the sweetness of cherries with the tanginess of lime and a hint of chili heat, creating a unique flavor explosion.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh cherries, pitted
  • 1/2 cup fresh lime juice
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 12 teaspoons chili flakes (adjust to taste)
  • 1 packet pectin (for jam)

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, combine the pitted cherries, lime juice, sugar, and water.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring frequently.
  3. Add the chili flakes and stir well.
  4. Once boiling, add the pectin and continue to boil for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly.
  5. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly before pouring into sterilized jars.
  6. Seal the jars and let them cool completely at room temperature.
  7. Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks or process in a water bath for longer shelf life.

  • Adjust the amount of chili flakes based on your heat preference.
  • This jam pairs well with cream cheese on crackers or as a glaze for meats.
