Description

A warm and crunchy sandwich filled with grilled chicken, creamy avocado, and melted cheese, perfect for weeknight meals or cozy gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 2 slices of bread (sourdough or your choice)
  • 1 cooked chicken breast (grilled or shredded)
  • ½ avocado, sliced
  • 2 slices of cheese (cheddar, provolone, or mozzarella)
  • 1 tbsp mayonnaise or butter
  • 1 tbsp mustard (optional)
  • Lettuce and tomato slices (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Start by preheating your skillet or sandwich press over medium heat.
  2. Spread a generous amount of mayonnaise or butter on one side of each slice of bread.
  3. Layer your ingredients on the unbuttered side of the first slice: place the cooked chicken, followed by the avocado slices, and finish off with the cheese.
  4. Top with the second slice of bread, ensuring the buttered side faces out.
  5. Place the sandwich in the skillet or press and cook until golden brown, roughly 3-4 minutes per side.
  6. Remove the sandwich from heat, slice it in half, and serve warm.
