Description

A comforting and satisfying sandwich filled with savory chicken, sautéed bell peppers, onions, and melted provolone cheese.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 chicken breasts, sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 4 slices provolone cheese
  • 4 hoagie rolls
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add sliced chicken breast and season with salt and pepper. Cook until no longer pink, around 5-7 minutes.
  3. Add sliced bell peppers and onions to the skillet and sauté until softened, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Place provolone cheese on top and cover to melt for a few minutes.
  5. Toast hoagie rolls until golden brown.
  6. Fill the rolls with the chicken and veggie mixture generously.
  7. Serve immediately with fries, chips, or salad.

Notes

Prep ingredients a day in advance if desired and store in the fridge. Avoid overcrowding the skillet for best results.
