Description

A comforting dish featuring tender chicken and creamy garlic Parmesan rice that transports you to a cozy Italian bistro with every flavorful bite.


Ingredients

  • 2 chicken breasts
  • 1 cup long-grain or jasmine rice
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Optional herbs (like thyme or basil)

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Season the chicken breasts generously with salt and pepper. Add them to the pan and sear for 5–7 minutes per side or until they are golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside to rest.
  2. In the same skillet, add the minced garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Add the rice into the skillet, toasting it for about a minute. Then, pour in 2 cups of chicken broth. Bring to a boil before reducing the heat to low, covering it, and letting it simmer for 15–20 minutes until the rice is fluffy.
  4. Once the rice has cooked, stir in the heavy cream and grated Parmesan cheese until creamy.
  5. Slice the rested chicken breasts and lay them on top of the creamy garlic rice.
  6. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and any optional herbs.
  7. Serve warm and savor every rich, creamy mouthful.

Notes

You can prepare the rice in advance and reheat with a splash of chicken broth. For a quicker option, use an air fryer for chicken.
