- 1 cup ground pork
- 1 cup shrimp, peeled and chopped
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
- 2 green onions, finely chopped
- 1 package siu mai wrappers
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground pork, chopped shrimp, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, green onions, salt, and pepper.
- Mix the ingredients until well combined.
- Take a siu mai wrapper and place a spoonful of the filling in the center.
- Gather the edges of the wrapper and pinch to seal, leaving the top open.
- Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.
- Steam the siu mai in a steamer basket for about 15-20 minutes until cooked through.
- Serve hot with soy sauce or chili sauce for dipping.
Notes
- Make sure the shrimp is finely chopped for even distribution in the filling.
- You can add water chestnuts for extra crunch if desired.
- These dumplings can be frozen before steaming for later use.
