Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup ground pork
  • 1 cup shrimp, peeled and chopped
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped
  • 1 package siu mai wrappers
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground pork, chopped shrimp, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, green onions, salt, and pepper.
  2. Mix the ingredients until well combined.
  3. Take a siu mai wrapper and place a spoonful of the filling in the center.
  4. Gather the edges of the wrapper and pinch to seal, leaving the top open.
  5. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.
  6. Steam the siu mai in a steamer basket for about 15-20 minutes until cooked through.
  7. Serve hot with soy sauce or chili sauce for dipping.

Notes

  • Make sure the shrimp is finely chopped for even distribution in the filling.
  • You can add water chestnuts for extra crunch if desired.
