Description

A simple and delicious recipe for making classic buttermilk pancakes that are fluffy and perfect for breakfast.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups buttermilk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup melted butter

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  2. In another bowl, mix the buttermilk, eggs, and melted butter until well combined.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined; do not overmix.
  4. Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat and lightly grease it.
  5. Pour 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake.
  6. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, then flip and cook until golden brown on the other side.
  7. Serve warm with your favorite toppings.

Notes

  • For extra fluffiness, let the batter rest for 5-10 minutes before cooking.
  • You can add blueberries or chocolate chips to the batter for variation.
  • Store any leftover pancakes in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
