- 4 chicken drumsticks
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a bowl, soak the chicken pieces in buttermilk for at least 1 hour or overnight.
- In another bowl, mix flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
- Remove chicken from buttermilk and dredge in the flour mixture, ensuring an even coating.
- Place the coated chicken on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Spray the chicken lightly with cooking spray.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes or until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through.
- Let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, turn on the broiler for the last 2-3 minutes of cooking.
