Description

Delight in the flavors of oven-fried chicken with a crispy coating and tender, juicy meat. This dish offers the fried chicken experience without the mess.


Ingredients

  • 4 chicken thighs
  • 4 chicken drumsticks
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Soak the chicken in buttermilk for at least 1 hour.
  3. Prepare the breadcrumb mixture by combining breadcrumbs, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Coat the chicken pieces in the breadcrumb mixture.
  5. Arrange the coated chicken on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Spray the chicken lightly with cooking spray.
  7. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  8. Rest the chicken for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra tenderness, marinate the chicken in buttermilk overnight. You can also use an air fryer for a quicker meal.
