Description

A delicious and easy-to-make meatloaf infused with the rich flavors of French onion soup and topped with melted Swiss cheese, cooked to perfection in a crockpot.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 cup French onion soup
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, French onion soup, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Mix until well combined and form into a loaf shape.
  3. Place the meatloaf in the crockpot.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until the meatloaf is cooked through.
  5. During the last 30 minutes of cooking, sprinkle shredded Swiss cheese on top of the meatloaf and cover until melted.
  6. Remove from the crockpot and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.

Notes

  • For added flavor, you can sauté some onions and add them to the meat mixture.
  • Serve with mashed potatoes or a side salad for a complete meal.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
