Description

A delicious and tender beef chuck roast cooked in a sweet and tangy honey balsamic sauce, perfect for a comforting meal.


Ingredients

  • 34 lbs beef chuck roast
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 cups beef broth

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Season the beef chuck roast with salt and pepper, then sear it in the skillet until browned on all sides.
  3. In a bowl, mix together honey, balsamic vinegar, soy sauce, and minced garlic.
  4. Place the sliced onion at the bottom of the crockpot.
  5. Transfer the seared beef roast to the crockpot on top of the onions.
  6. Pour the honey balsamic mixture over the roast.
  7. Add beef broth to the crockpot.
  8. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours until the beef is tender.
  9. Once cooked, shred the beef with two forks and mix it with the sauce before serving.

Notes

  • Serve with mashed potatoes or over rice for a complete meal.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • This dish can also be frozen for up to 3 months.
