Description

Ingredients

  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped apples (peeled, about 2 medium apples)
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round baking pan.
  2. Combine the butter, granulated sugar, and dark brown sugar in a bowl until light and fluffy.
  3. Incorporate the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Mix the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt in a separate bowl.
  5. Combine the dry ingredients with the butter mixture until just mixed.
  6. Fold in the chopped apples and walnuts gently.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly.
  8. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Cool for 10-15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
