Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Chickpeas (canned or soaked and cooked)
  • 2 tsp Cumin
  • 2 tsp Coriander
  • 1 tsp Turmeric
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 2 tbsp Fresh Mint (finely chopped)
  • 2 tbsp Fresh Cilantro (finely chopped)
  • 1/2 cup Yogurt or Tahini
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chickpeas: If using dried chickpeas, soak them overnight and cook until tender. Canned chickpeas require a rinse and a drain before use.
  2. Season the Mixture: In a food processor, combine the chickpeas with spices like cumin, coriander, and finely chopped mint. Blend until the mixture holds together but retains some texture.
  3. Shape the Snacks: Form the mixture into small bite-sized balls or patties.
  4. Cook the Snacks: Heat oil in your frying pan and gently place the snacks in batches. Allow them to cook until golden brown, flipping carefully to achieve an even crispness on all sides.
  5. Make the Dip: Whisk yogurt with minced garlic, lemon juice, and fresh herbs for a cooling dip.

Notes
