- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon pepper
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
- ¼ teaspoon onion powder
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Marinate the Chicken: Place the chicken pieces in a bowl with buttermilk. Cover and marinate in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
- Prepare the Coating: In another bowl, whisk together flour, salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Heat the Oil: Fill a large pot with oil and heat to 350°F (175°C).
- Dredge the Chicken: Remove chicken from fridge, letting excess buttermilk drip off. Dredge each piece in the flour mixture.
- Fry the Chicken: Fry coated chicken pieces in batches until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes.
- Drain: Remove chicken with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
- Serve: Serve warm with dipping sauces of choice.
