Description

A delightful, crispy take on classic fried chicken in bite-sized pieces, perfect for snacking or parties.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon onion powder
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Marinate the Chicken: Place the chicken pieces in a bowl with buttermilk. Cover and marinate in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Prepare the Coating: In another bowl, whisk together flour, salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  3. Heat the Oil: Fill a large pot with oil and heat to 350°F (175°C).
  4. Dredge the Chicken: Remove chicken from fridge, letting excess buttermilk drip off. Dredge each piece in the flour mixture.
  5. Fry the Chicken: Fry coated chicken pieces in batches until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes.
  6. Drain: Remove chicken with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
  7. Serve: Serve warm with dipping sauces of choice.

Notes

You can marinate chicken a day ahead for max flavor. Consider baking for a healthier alternative.
