- 4 large egg whites
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon white vinegar
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons matcha powder
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 4 ounces white chocolate, melted
- Fresh berries for topping
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 250°F (120°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a clean bowl, beat the egg whites until soft peaks form.
- Gradually add the sugar, continuing to beat until stiff peaks form.
- Mix in the vanilla extract, vinegar, cornstarch, and matcha powder until well combined.
- Spoon the meringue mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, shaping it into a round pavlova.
- Bake for 1 hour, then turn off the oven and let the pavlova cool completely inside.
- Whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form, then fold in the melted white chocolate.
- Once the pavlova is cool, top it with the whipped cream mixture and fresh berries.
Notes
- Ensure all equipment is clean and dry when whipping egg whites.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
- For a stronger matcha flavor, increase the amount of matcha powder.
