Description

A delicious and elegant dessert combining the flavors of matcha and white chocolate in a light, airy pavlova.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large egg whites
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons matcha powder
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 4 ounces white chocolate, melted
  • Fresh berries for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 250°F (120°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a clean bowl, beat the egg whites until soft peaks form.
  3. Gradually add the sugar, continuing to beat until stiff peaks form.
  4. Mix in the vanilla extract, vinegar, cornstarch, and matcha powder until well combined.
  5. Spoon the meringue mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, shaping it into a round pavlova.
  6. Bake for 1 hour, then turn off the oven and let the pavlova cool completely inside.
  7. Whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form, then fold in the melted white chocolate.
  8. Once the pavlova is cool, top it with the whipped cream mixture and fresh berries.

Notes

  • Ensure all equipment is clean and dry when whipping egg whites.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
  • For a stronger matcha flavor, increase the amount of matcha powder.
