- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 1 cup melted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup corn syrup
- 4 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine corn syrup, brown sugar, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract, whisking until smooth.
- Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Spread crushed pecans evenly over the bottom of the greased baking dish.
- Pour the wet mixture evenly over the pecans.
- Sprinkle the dry cake mix over the top without mixing.
- Drizzle remaining melted butter over the cake mix.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let the cake cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm, optionally topped with ice cream.
