Description

Spanferkel is a traditional German dish, typically made with pork, but this version features a delicious beef roast, offering a unique twist on the classic recipe.


Ingredients

  • 5 lbs beef roast
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Rub the beef roast with olive oil, garlic, rosemary, salt, and pepper.
  3. Place the roast in a roasting pan and pour the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce around it.
  4. Cover the pan with aluminum foil and roast for 2 hours.
  5. Remove the foil and roast for an additional 30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
  6. Let the roast rest for 15 minutes before slicing and serving.
