Description

A rich and creamy fettuccine pasta dish infused with Cajun spices and sweet honey butter chicken.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz fettuccine (or your favorite pasta)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breast, diced
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • ¼ cup butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add fettuccine and cook until al dente, about 10-12 minutes. Reserve ½ cup pasta water and drain the rest.
  2. Season chicken with Cajun seasoning and a sprinkle of salt and pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken in a single layer and cook for 6-8 minutes until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  4. Lower the heat, add butter to the skillet. Once melted, add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds.
  5. Stir in honey, let simmer for 1 minute.
  6. Pour in heavy cream, stirring until smooth and slightly thickened, about 2-3 minutes.
  7. Return chicken to the pan, toss to coat.
  8. Add cooked pasta, tossing everything together. Add reserved pasta water if needed to adjust sauce consistency.
  9. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.

Notes

You can marinate the chicken in Cajun seasoning ahead of time for enhanced flavor. Feel free to add sautéed veggies for extra nutrition.
