Description

A delicious and moist steamed cake made from cassava, perfect for dessert or a snack.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups grated cassava
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup grated coconut
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

Instructions

  1. Prepare a steamer and bring water to a boil.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine grated cassava, coconut milk, sugar, grated coconut, salt, vanilla extract, and baking powder.
  3. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
  4. Pour the mixture into a greased cake pan.
  5. Place the cake pan in the steamer and cover.
  6. Steam for about 45-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  7. Remove from the steamer and let it cool before serving.
