Description

Sizzling turkey burgers infused with creamy peanut sauce, fresh vegetables, and a burst of zesty lime.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons green onions, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/3 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 tablespoon additional soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon sriracha (optional)
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons warm water
  • 4 burger buns, toasted
  • 1 cup shredded carrot
  • 1 cup cucumber, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup fresh cilantro leaves
  • 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, green onions, cilantro, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, lime juice, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
  2. Divide the turkey mixture into four portions and shape into patties, ensuring a slight indentation in the center.
  3. Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat and lightly oil the surface.
  4. Cook the patties for 5 to 6 minutes on each side until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together peanut butter, soy sauce, lime juice, honey, and sriracha. Gradually mix in warm water until smooth.
  6. Spread peanut sauce on the bottom half of each toasted bun, place a turkey patty on top, drizzle with additional sauce, and top with shredded carrot, cucumber, cilantro, and red onion. Secure with the other half of the bun.
  7. Serve immediately with extra peanut sauce on the side.

Notes

You can mix the turkey ingredients and form patties a day in advance. For cooking alternatives, consider air frying or baking.
