Scale
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to brown it.
  3. Pour in the heavy cream slowly, stirring gently, and bring to a gentle simmer.
  4. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until fully melted into the cream.
  5. Add salt, pepper, dried oregano, and crushed red pepper flakes, adjusting seasoning to taste.

Notes

This sauce can be prepared a day in advance. Reheat gently before serving and add a splash of cream if it thickens too much.
