Description

Deliciously soft and chewy cookies loaded with chocolate chips and the natural sweetness of ripe bananas.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup mashed bananas (about 2 medium-sized)
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy.
  3. Add the mashed bananas, egg, and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  4. Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, folding gently until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are golden brown.
  9. Allow to cool for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

For a vegan option, use coconut oil or a dairy-free butter substitute.
