Delicious blackberry turnovers with a flaky pastry and sweet-tart filling, perfect for any gathering.

- 1 package of puff pastry sheets
- 2 cups fresh blackberries
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- Powdered sugar (for dusting)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Combine blackberries, sugar, lemon juice, and cornstarch in a bowl gently.
- Roll out the puff pastry sheets to about 1/8 inch thick and cut into 4-inch squares.
- Place a spoonful of the blackberry mixture in the center of each square.
- Fold the pastry over to form triangles and press the edges to seal.
- Brush the tops with beaten egg.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool slightly and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
To make ahead, freeze turnovers before baking and bake straight from the freezer for a few extra minutes.
