Description

A warm, buttery bread pudding infused with cinnamon and vanilla, perfect for cozy evenings and gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups of cubed bread (brioche, baguette, or challah)
  • 2 cups of whole milk
  • 1 cup of granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup raisins (optional)
  • Butter for greasing

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter.
  3. Whisk together the eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon in a large bowl.
  4. Combine the cubed bread with the custard mixture, stirring gently to coat.
  5. Let it sit for about 10 minutes to soak up the custard.
  6. Bake for approximately 45 minutes, or until golden brown and a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Cool slightly before serving warm, optionally topped with whipped cream or caramel sauce.

Notes

For best results, use day-old bread and feel free to customize with chocolate chips or fresh fruit.
