- 4 slices of brioche bread
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Butter for cooking
- Maple syrup for serving
- Powdered sugar for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon in a mixing bowl until smooth.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and melt a generous pat of butter.
- Dip each slice of brioche into the egg mixture, coating both sides.
- Place the coated brioche slices in the skillet, cooking until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.
- Flip the slices gently using a spatula, cooking until equally golden, about 2-3 minutes more.
- Serve warm, drizzled with maple syrup and dusted with powdered sugar if desired.
Notes
Make-ahead by preparing the custard mixture the night before. Cook fresh in the morning for a quick breakfast.
