Description

Decadent Brioche French Toast infused with warm cinnamon, served with maple syrup and a dusting of powdered sugar.


Ingredients

  • 4 slices of brioche bread
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Butter for cooking
  • Maple syrup for serving
  • Powdered sugar for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon in a mixing bowl until smooth.
  2. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and melt a generous pat of butter.
  3. Dip each slice of brioche into the egg mixture, coating both sides.
  4. Place the coated brioche slices in the skillet, cooking until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Flip the slices gently using a spatula, cooking until equally golden, about 2-3 minutes more.
  6. Serve warm, drizzled with maple syrup and dusted with powdered sugar if desired.

Notes

Make-ahead by preparing the custard mixture the night before. Cook fresh in the morning for a quick breakfast.
