Description

  • Oil for frying
  • 4 burger buns
  • Lettuce
  • Tomato slices
  • Pickles
  • For the garlic aioli:
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken: Combine the buttermilk and Cajun seasoning, ensuring chicken breasts are submerged. Marinate for at least 1 hour or overnight.
  2. Prepare the coating: Whisk together flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Heat the oil in a deep skillet to 350°F.
  4. Dredge the chicken: Coat each piece in the flour mixture, pressing to help it stick.
  5. Fry the chicken for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through, checking for 165°F internal temperature.
  6. Make the garlic aioli: Mix mayonnaise, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper until creamy.
  7. Assemble the sandwich with aioli, crispy chicken, lettuce, tomato, and pickles.
  8. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

Feel free to marinate the chicken overnight for deeper flavor. An air fryer can be used for a healthier option.
