Instructions
- Marinate the chicken: Combine the buttermilk and Cajun seasoning, ensuring chicken breasts are submerged. Marinate for at least 1 hour or overnight.
- Prepare the coating: Whisk together flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Heat the oil in a deep skillet to 350°F.
- Dredge the chicken: Coat each piece in the flour mixture, pressing to help it stick.
- Fry the chicken for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through, checking for 165°F internal temperature.
- Make the garlic aioli: Mix mayonnaise, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper until creamy.
- Assemble the sandwich with aioli, crispy chicken, lettuce, tomato, and pickles.
