Description

Ingredients

  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup cherries, pitted and chopped
  • Optional fruits: raspberries or blueberries

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Melt the butter gently in a large bowl, then mix in the brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the eggs and vanilla extract until creamy.
  4. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt in another bowl.
  5. Combine the dry mixture with the wet ingredients, stirring until just incorporated.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips and chopped cherries.
  7. Spread the batter evenly in the prepared baking pan.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
