Description
A decadent chocolate peanut butter pie featuring a crunchy Oreo crust, creamy chocolate and peanut butter layers, topped with fluffy whipped cream.
Ingredients
Scale
- 25 Oreos (whole)
- 5 TBSP unsalted butter (melted)
- 6 oz cream cheese (room temperature)
- 2 TBSP unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup white granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup sour cream (room temperature or Greek yogurt)
- 3.5 oz chocolate bar (melted)
- 10 oz cream cheese (room temperature) for peanut butter layer
- 3/4 cup creamy peanut butter
- 2 cups heavy cream (cold)
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
- Prepare the crust: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a food processor, crush the Oreos into fine crumbs, or place them in a ziplock bag and crush them with a rolling pin. Mix the crumbs with the melted butter until well combined, then press into the bottom of your pie dish. Bake for 8-10 minutes, then allow to cool.
- Make the chocolate layer: In a mixing bowl, beat together cream cheese, cocoa powder, granulated sugar, sour cream, and melted chocolate until smooth. Spread evenly over the cooled crust.
- Prepare the peanut butter layer: Mix room temperature cream cheese with peanut butter and powdered sugar until smooth. Stir in sour cream and vanilla extract, then pour over the chocolate layer.
- Make the whipped topping: Combine heavy cream and powdered sugar, then whip until stiff peaks form. Spread over the peanut butter layer.
- Drizzle with melted peanut butter for added flavor.
- Chill the pie in the refrigerator for at least 6 hours or overnight.
Notes
