Description

A delicious and heart-healthy alternative to traditional chicken Parmesan, featuring succulent chicken and creamy cottage cheese, topped with melty mozzarella and crunchy breadcrumbs.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb Chicken Breast
  • 1 cup Cottage Cheese
  • 1 cup Marinara Sauce
  • 1.5 cups Mozzarella Cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 Onion, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for cooking
  • Italian herbs of your choice

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare the chicken by seasoning with salt and pepper, then cook in a skillet until golden and cooked through.
  3. Create the sauce by sautéing garlic and onions, then add marinara sauce and let it simmer.
  4. Combine the cottage cheese, half of the mozzarella, and Italian herbs in a mixing bowl.
  5. Build the bowl by layering cooked chicken, marinara sauce, and cottage cheese mixture in a baking dish.
  6. Top with remaining mozzarella and breadcrumbs, then drizzle with olive oil if desired.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes until the top is bubbly and golden brown.

Notes
