- 1 package of puff pastry
- 8 oz sliced ham
- 8 oz sliced cheese (Swiss or cheddar)
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- 1 tablespoon of flour (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface until it reaches about 1/8-inch thickness.
- Trim and cut it into rectangles measuring 3×4 inches.
- Layer ingredients: Place a slice of ham and cheese on one rectangle, season with salt and pepper, and cover with a second rectangle, sealing the edges.
- Arrange on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Beat the egg and use a pastry brush to coat the tops of the stacks.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
