Description

Experience the irresistible flavors of the Crispy Ultimate Club Sandwich, featuring layers of crispy bacon, fresh vegetables, and creamy spreads.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 slices thick-cut white or whole wheat sandwich bread (preferably sturdy sourdough)
  • 4 strips thick-cut bacon, cooked until crispy
  • 4 ounces thinly sliced deli turkey breast (or roast chicken)
  • 3 ounces thinly sliced ham (optional)
  • 2 slices sharp cheddar or Swiss cheese
  • Crisp Romaine or iceberg lettuce leaves, washed and dried
  • 1 medium ripe tomato, sliced
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional: pickles or avocado slices

Instructions

  1. Cook the bacon: Heat a skillet over medium heat. Place 4 strips of thick-cut bacon in the pan, ensuring they don’t overlap. Flip occasionally for about 6-8 minutes or until crispy and golden. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  2. Toast the bread: While the bacon crisps, toast 3 slices of bread until golden brown and crispy, about 3-5 minutes.
  3. Prepare the spread: In a small bowl, mix 3 tablespoons of mayonnaise and 1 teaspoon of Dijon mustard.
  4. Slice the tomatoes: Cut the tomato into medium-thick slices, about 1/4 inch. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  5. Assemble the sandwich: Start with one slice of toasted bread, generously spread mayo-mustard mixture, and layer with turkey, lettuce, and tomato. Place another slice of bread on top.
  6. Build the next layer: Spread more mayo on the second slice, and add ham, bacon, and cheese. Top with the final slice of bread.
  7. Secure and slice: Use sandwich picks to hold layers together. Cut diagonally into quarters and serve immediately.

Notes

For added flavor, experiment with avocados or jalapeños. Best enjoyed fresh, but leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to two days.
