Description

Indulge in Cuban Garlic Bread Sandwiches, a delightful fusion of flavors with savory pulled pork, ham, tangy pickles, and melted Swiss cheese, all enveloped in toasted garlic butter rolls.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 submarine rolls (610 inches each)
  • ½ cup (1 stick / 113 g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • ½ pound pre-cooked pulled pork
  • ½ pound sliced ham
  • 3 dill pickles, sliced in half lengthwise
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese
  • 2 tablespoons yellow mustard

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to low broil and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Place halved rolls on the sheet, cut side up.
  3. Mix melted butter with garlic, parsley, and salt in a small bowl, then brush the mixture onto the cut sides of the rolls.
  4. Toast them for 2–3 minutes until golden, keeping an eye to prevent burning.
  5. Dice the pulled pork, ham, pickles, and cheese, then combine in a bowl with mustard.
  6. Scoop about 1 cup of filling into each toasted roll.
  7. Serve sandwiches warm and enjoy.

Notes

These sandwiches can be made ahead by preparing the filling in advance. For a quick option, consider using an air fryer.
