- 2 cups fresh blueberries
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup milk
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Combine the blueberries with ¼ cup of sugar in a mixing bowl and let sit for 10 minutes.
- Whisk together the flour, remaining sugar, baking powder, and salt in another bowl.
- Pour in the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract, and mix until just combined.
- Pour the batter into a greased 9×9 inch baking dish and smooth it out.
- Scatter the sugared blueberries on top.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
- Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
