Description

A simple and delicious dessert featuring a golden crust and juicy blueberries, perfect for summer gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh blueberries
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup milk
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine the blueberries with ¼ cup of sugar in a mixing bowl and let sit for 10 minutes.
  3. Whisk together the flour, remaining sugar, baking powder, and salt in another bowl.
  4. Pour in the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract, and mix until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into a greased 9×9 inch baking dish and smooth it out.
  6. Scatter the sugared blueberries on top.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
