Description

A cozy and comforting ground beef casserole layered with pasta, cheese, and rich flavors, perfect for weeknight dinners.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 2 cups pasta (any kind)
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (mozzarella and cheddar)
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Brown the ground beef with the chopped onion and minced garlic in a skillet over medium heat, stirring occasionally until cooked through.
  3. Drain any excess fat from the skillet.
  4. Add the diced tomatoes, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper; stir well to combine.
  5. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente, then drain.
  6. Combine the meat sauce and cooked pasta in a large bowl.
  7. Transfer the mixture to a casserole dish and top with shredded cheese.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  9. Let it cool slightly before serving.

Notes

You can prepare the casserole in advance and refrigerate it overnight. Adjust baking time if taken from the fridge.
