Description

A creamy and comforting dish featuring tender chicken, orzo pasta, fresh spinach, and Parmesan cheese, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup dry orzo pasta
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup fresh spinach, chopped
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add the seasoned chicken and cook for 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  4. Remove the chicken and set it aside.
  5. Pour in the chicken broth and bring it to a gentle simmer.
  6. Stir in the orzo, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning, then let it simmer for 10-12 minutes.
  7. Add heavy cream and chopped spinach, and stir in Parmesan cheese.
  8. Slice the cooked chicken and nestle it on top before serving.

Notes

You can substitute the chicken with turkey or firm tofu for a vegetarian option. Make ahead by preparing the orzo and sauce separately.
