Description

Delightful and fluffy waffles that are perfect for any meal, topped with syrup, fruits, or whipped cream.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 3/4 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil or melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  2. Whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Beat the eggs in a separate medium bowl, then stir in the milk, oil (or melted butter), and vanilla extract.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry mixture, stirring gently until there are a few lumps.
  5. Grease the preheated waffle iron with cooking oil or melted butter.
  6. Pour the recommended amount of batter into your waffle iron and close the lid, cooking until golden brown.
  7. Serve warm, drizzled with maple syrup or your favorite toppings.

Notes

Make the batter ahead of time and store it in the fridge. No waffle iron? Use a pancake griddle instead!
