- 1 medium sweet potato, cooked and mashed
- 1/2 cup gluten-free breadcrumbs

- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil for frying
- Fresh herbs (like parsley or cilantro) for garnish
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the cooked red lentils, mashed sweet potato, gluten-free breadcrumbs, chopped onion, minced garlic, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix everything well until a uniform mixture forms.
- Shape the mixture into small patties, about 2–3 inches in diameter.
- Heat a generous drizzle of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
- Serve your patties warm, garnished with fresh herbs.
Notes
These patties can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator. Try baking or air frying for a healthier option.
