Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and generously grease your 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Combine the melted butter, packed brown sugar, and granulated sugar in a large mixing bowl, mixing until you achieve a smooth texture.
  3. Crack in the two eggs and pour in the vanilla extract. Mix until silky.
  4. Whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, ground cinnamon, and salt in a separate bowl.
  5. Fold the dry mixture into the wet batter until just combined.
  6. Pour in the maple syrup and fold it in until evenly distributed.
  7. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan using a spatula.
  8. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes until edges are golden and a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  9. Cool in the pan for at least 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Cut into squares.
  10. Reheat in the microwave for a few seconds before serving for warmed gooeyness!
