Description

A vibrant and flavorful grilled chicken marinated in tequila and lime, perfect for summer barbecues.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup tequila
  • 1/4 cup lime juice
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Ranch dressing for brushing

Instructions

  1. Combine the tequila, lime juice, olive oil, garlic, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper in a medium mixing bowl.
  2. Place the chicken breasts into a large Ziplock bag and pour the marinade over them.
  3. Seal the bag, releasing as much air as possible, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (overnight is best).
  4. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  5. Remove the chicken from the marinade and discard the marinade.
  6. Cook the chicken on the grill for about 6-7 minutes on one side.
  7. Flip the chicken and grill for an additional 6-7 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  8. Brush ranch dressing on the tops during the last few minutes of grilling.
  9. Remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Marinate overnight for enhanced flavor. Use an air fryer or oven as alternative cooking methods.
