Description

A vibrant and nutritious steak fajita bowl, packed with high-protein goodness and flavorful veggies.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb steak (sirloin or flank steak)
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 avocado, sliced (for topping)
  • 1/2 cup sour cream (optional, for topping)
  • 1 lime, wedges (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Slice the steak into thin strips.
  2. Mix your sliced steak with garlic powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  4. Add the seasoned steak to the skillet and cook until browned, about 4-5 minutes.
  5. Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest.
  6. Sauté the sliced bell peppers and onions in the same skillet for about 4-5 minutes until softened.
  7. Combine the steak back with the sautéed veggies in the skillet.
  8. Serve the mixture in bowls and top with avocado, a dollop of sour cream, and a lime wedge.

Notes

For a spicy kick, consider adding fresh jalapeños or hot sauce. This dish is great for meal prep and can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
