- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup diced jalapeños (fresh or pickled)
- 1 cup milk
- 1/4 cup melted butter
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mix the dry ingredients in a large bowl: flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
- Add the shredded cheddar cheese and diced jalapeños to the dry mixture.
- Whisk the wet ingredients in a separate bowl: milk and melted butter.
- Combine the wet mixture with the dry ingredients, and stir until just combined.
- Transfer the batter to a greased loaf pan.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
