Description

A warm, flavorful loaf bursting with cheddar cheese and jalapeños, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup diced jalapeños (fresh or pickled)
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup melted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix the dry ingredients in a large bowl: flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
  3. Add the shredded cheddar cheese and diced jalapeños to the dry mixture.
  4. Whisk the wet ingredients in a separate bowl: milk and melted butter.
  5. Combine the wet mixture with the dry ingredients, and stir until just combined.
  6. Transfer the batter to a greased loaf pan.
  7. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
