- 1 lb Ground Turkey
- 1/2 cup Cheddar Cheese, shredded
- 1–2 Jalapeños, diced
- 1/4 cup Breadcrumbs
- 1 Egg
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1/2 tsp Onion Powder
- Salt and Pepper to taste
- Burger Buns
- Lettuce, Tomato, and Other Desired Toppings
Instructions
- Combine the ground turkey, shredded cheddar cheese, diced jalapeños, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl. Mix gently until just combined.
- Form the mixture into patties, about ¾ inch thick, creating a small indentation in the center.
- Preheat your grill or skillet over medium heat and lightly oil the grates (if using a grill).
- Cook the patties for 5-7 minutes on each side until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F and are browned.
- Toast the burger buns on the grill or skillet for the last minute of cooking.
- Assemble the burgers by placing a patty on each bun and adding crisp lettuce, juicy tomato, and any other toppings.
Notes
For best results, chill the burger mixture for 30 minutes before cooking. You can use ground chicken as an alternative to turkey.
