Description
A creamy and indulgent pasta dish with tender chicken and earthy mushrooms, perfect for family dinners or date nights.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz bowtie pasta
- 1 lb chicken breast, diced
- 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Cook Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the bowtie pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Heat Olive Oil: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat until it shimmers.
- Cook Chicken: Add the diced chicken to the skillet and sear it until browned and cooked through, usually around 5-7 minutes. Stir occasionally for an even cook.
- Sauté Garlic and Mushrooms: When the chicken is nearly done, add minced garlic and sliced mushrooms to the skillet. Sauté until the mushrooms are tender and golden, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add Chicken Broth: Pour in the chicken broth and let it simmer for about 3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
- Create the Cream Sauce: Reduce the heat to low and stir in the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Mix until the sauce becomes creamy.
- Combine Pasta and Sauce: Add the cooked bowtie pasta directly to the skillet and gently toss until the pasta is coated in sauce.
- Season: Sprinkle in salt and pepper to taste, adjusting according to your preference.
- Garnish: Before serving, add a sprinkle of fresh parsley on top.
