Description

A creamy and indulgent pasta dish with tender chicken and earthy mushrooms, perfect for family dinners or date nights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz bowtie pasta
  • 1 lb chicken breast, diced
  • 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the bowtie pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat Olive Oil: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat until it shimmers.
  3. Cook Chicken: Add the diced chicken to the skillet and sear it until browned and cooked through, usually around 5-7 minutes. Stir occasionally for an even cook.
  4. Sauté Garlic and Mushrooms: When the chicken is nearly done, add minced garlic and sliced mushrooms to the skillet. Sauté until the mushrooms are tender and golden, about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Add Chicken Broth: Pour in the chicken broth and let it simmer for about 3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
  6. Create the Cream Sauce: Reduce the heat to low and stir in the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Mix until the sauce becomes creamy.
  7. Combine Pasta and Sauce: Add the cooked bowtie pasta directly to the skillet and gently toss until the pasta is coated in sauce.
  8. Season: Sprinkle in salt and pepper to taste, adjusting according to your preference.
  9. Garnish: Before serving, add a sprinkle of fresh parsley on top.

Notes

Feel free to customize with additional vegetables or proteins. Good for meal prep and reheats beautifully.
