Description

A rich and creamy nacho cheese sauce that’s perfect for dipping tortilla chips or drizzling over your favorite snacks.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Begin by placing your medium-sized saucepan over medium heat. Add the butter and let it melt completely.
  2. Once melted, whisk in the flour and allow it to cook for about one minute until it bubbles slightly.
  3. Gradually pour in the milk while whisking continuously.
  4. Slowly stir in the shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, and onion powder until melted.
  5. Finally, season with salt and pepper to taste and serve immediately.

Notes

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4-5 days. Reheat gently with a splash of milk.
