A comforting one-pan meal featuring savory ground beef, tender orzo pasta, and Italian herbs, baked to golden perfection.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup orzo pasta
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 cup shredded cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Brown the beef in a large oven-safe skillet over medium heat.
  3. Sauté the chopped onion with the beef until translucent, then add minced garlic and cook for another minute.
  4. Combine the diced tomatoes, beef broth, orzo, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper, bringing the mixture to a boil before simmering for about 10 minutes.
  5. Add cheese on top if desired, and then transfer the skillet to the oven.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes until orzo is tender and cheese is bubbly.
