Description

Delight in these oven-baked cabbage burgers, featuring a savory filling nestled in tender cabbage leaves, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 head of cabbage
  • 1 pound ground beef or turkey
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (or almond flour for low-carb)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare the cabbage by removing the outer leaves and carefully separating 8 large leaves.
  3. Mix the filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the ground meat, chopped onion, minced garlic, breadcrumbs, egg, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  4. Shape your patties: Mold a portion of the meat mixture into a patty and encase it in a cabbage leaf.
  5. Arrange the cabbage burgers on a baking sheet seam-side down and drizzle with olive oil.
  6. Bake for 25–30 minutes, until the meat is cooked and the cabbage is tender.
  7. Serve hot and enjoy the healthy burger alternative!

Notes

For a lower-carb option, substitute breadcrumbs with almond flour. Make-ahead tips: Prepare the filling a day before and refrigerate.
